Loaning Associations

VSLA is a component of Conservation Agriculture

where community members save collectively and access loans at low rates in order to enable them buy farm inputs.

VSLA trainings include, Introduction to VSLAs, VSLA principles, Office bearers, Meeting procedures, VSLA toolkit and constitution. So far, 1,282 (123 male & 1,159 female) participants have been trained. The amount of loan ranges between kes 1,500 and 8,000 per participant. The loans have been used for payment of school fees, purchase of household consumables, farm inputs, boosting small businesses and buying household assets (poultry and goats).
